Components
Long flax fiber with petroleum lubricant
Applications:
Ideal packing for liquids close to neutrality on the pH scale. Flax naturally expands in contact with water, easily effecting a seal.

A time-honored packing made from long line flax yarn, lubricated with a tallow compound. For moderate temperatures and pressures, water, reciprocating or rotary equipment and stern glands on ships.
